Diorama Texture Clay (Soil Effect, Dark Earth) 150g

Making dioramas is a fun time for modelers, and recreation of the ground is one of the key criteria to enhance the realism. In addition to our Diorama Texture Paint series, we are delighted to release these products featuring colored (brown or dark earth), lightweight clay blended with plastic particles, which realistically recreates the uneven ground surfaces and traces of tracks or tires for excellent finish.

About the Item
• Use these products for from 1/6 scale to 1/48 scale diorama.
• Water-based clay limits its odor, and helps limit dirt on hands.

Required or recommended tools (sold separately)

• Rigid display base
• Cement (Lightweight clay is not adhesive like putty. Use of Tamiya Craft Bond or wood glue is recommended. Please do not use solvent cement or instant cement.)
• Stiff tooth brushes

How to use:

• Open the bag and knead clay. (Brown and Dark Earth clays can be mixed.)
• Apply a thin layer of bond to a display base.
• Put clay on the display base and make a thin layer of it.
• Hit surfaces with stiff brushes to recreate the detailed uneven surfaces.
• Push tracks and tires into clay surfaces to depict traces. (Please note that pushing the assembled model might cause damage.)
• Let clay dry. (It takes about from two to seven days for clay to completely dry.)
