This statue follows the lineage of the previously released Unit-01 and the Fourth Angel, blending bold mechanical reinvention with deep respect for the original design. Nizzi envisioned EVA -02 in the midst of battle, standing by the sea, ready to face an Angel. Armed in both hands, it strikes a dramatic pose, culminating in a heroic diorama display. The rebalanced proportions give the figure a more human feel, while detailed mechanical moldings and internal structures add a sense of purpose and precision. Design elements shared with Unit-01 further emphasize its place within the series. The body is finished in a crimson hue that fuses vivid anime tones with the subdued luster of heavy machinery. LED light-up features in its four eyes and chest further enhance the sense of presence, while the industrial shoreline-complete with a sunken tanker and rippling red sea-is rendered with striking realism. The Deluxe Version includes additional optional equipment: a jetpack with LED-illuminated thrusters, a cutter-type Progressive Knife showing signs of wear, and a deployed Thunder Spear with extended discharge arms.
